Sometimes, you just wonder what some people are thinking..
Recently, we received a letter asking our opinion on lift upgrading..
It was like FINALLY!
We waited quite long for this 20-30 year old block to have the lifts stopping at every floor..
The best part: on my floor at this corner of the block, there are only 2 households per floor..
It is just going to be so convenient!
No more stopping at 6th floor and walking up another 2 floors..
Yesterday, the residents' corner had a mini-exhibition for the upgrading plans..
Today my parents went to the place to look at the exhibition..
Guess what the people at the RC said to them?
They said that after the upgrading, the flat can be sold at a better price..
When my mother told me that, I was like what the hell is she talking about?
We won't agree to upgrading the block just to sell the flat at a better price!
What we are looking forward to is the convenience after the upgrading..
Who ever talked about selling the flat?
Brainless people.. Are they eying for our soon-to-be-upgraded flats?
I think the real estate people will call start calling our home again after the lifts are installed..
I was thinking that this estate is so old that majority are either aunties/uncles/grandmas/grandpas..
I thought that the idea of lift upgrading was came up with one simple logic..
To make it more convenient and accessible for the old folks and less mobile residents..
To think people at the RC are thinking of selling the flats for better price..
Shame on them.. The government won't even be subsiding that much if residents are going sell their flats after the upgrading..
Rar! What they said really pissed me off..
